We are thrilled to share a major milestone with you — we’ve officially hit 100 sales on Redbubble, and it took us only 59 days to get here! This achievement feels incredible, and we want to take a moment to reflect on how we got here, what we’ve learned, and where we’re heading next.
Whether you’re an artist just starting on Redbubble, a fan of our work, or someone curious about what it takes to succeed on the platform, we hope this post inspires you and provides some valuable insight!

The Beginning: Why We Started on Redbubble
When we opened our Redbubble shop, our primary goal was simple: share our passion for creative design and aviation photography (and beyond!) with a wider audience. We knew Redbubble offered the opportunity to connect with people around the world who appreciate unique, high-quality designs on everything from stickers to wall art.
We didn’t have grand expectations at the start. Our focus was on creating designs we genuinely loved and would be proud to see out in the world. We believed that if we stayed authentic to our style, customers would resonate with our work — and it turns out, they did!

The Journey to 100 Sales
Reaching 100 sales in 59 days didn’t happen by accident. Here’s a look at some of the key strategies and factors that helped us along the way:
1️⃣ Consistent Uploading
We made a commitment to upload new designs regularly. In those first 59 days, we published dozens of pieces across multiple categories. This kept our shop fresh, increased our visibility, and gave customers more options to discover our work.
2️⃣ SEO-Focused Titles and Tags
We spent a lot of time learning about Redbubble SEO — how titles, tags, and descriptions influence search results both on Redbubble and external search engines. We optimized every design with thoughtful keywords that balanced relevance and searchability.
3️⃣ Designing for a Niche (but Not Just One)
While aviation-themed art formed the backbone of our shop, we also experimented with other subjects — from retro poster styles to modern minimalism. This helped us reach a broader audience without diluting our identity.
4️⃣ High-Quality Mockups
We made sure our designs looked great on products. Clean mockups and attractive product combinations played a role in helping customers visualise our art in their lives.
5️⃣ Promotion Outside Redbubble
Although Redbubble’s organic traffic helped a lot, we also shared our work on social media platforms, design communities, and even among friends and family. Every bit of exposure helped fuel those early sales.

Challenges Along the Way
It wasn’t all smooth sailing. We faced challenges that taught us important lessons:
Learning what sells: Not every design is a hit. Some of our early work barely got any views or sales, and we had to figure out what resonated with buyers.
Time management: Juggling design creation, uploading, SEO, and promotion while balancing other life commitments wasn’t easy. Finding a sustainable rhythm was key.
Dealing with slow periods: Sales don’t always come in a steady stream. There were days (sometimes weeks) with little activity — but staying persistent paid off.

What We Learned
Here are some of our biggest takeaways from these first 100 sales:
✅ Quality over quantity matters — but consistency is crucial too.
✅ SEO can make or break your visibility. Never skip the keyword research.
✅ Design trends change — staying adaptable helps.
✅ Promote, promote, promote. Don’t just rely on Redbubble’s traffic.
✅ Celebrate every small win — each sale means someone chose your art!

What’s Next?
Hitting 100 sales is just the beginning. Our next goals include:
✨ Reaching 250 sales (and beyond).
✨ Expanding our design range to include new themes, styles, and trends.
✨ Building stronger branding across all platforms.
✨ Creating more designs based on customer feedback and bestsellers.
✨ Continuing to share our journey with you!
Final Thoughts
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us — from customers who made a purchase, to friends who shared our shop, to fellow artists who inspired us. This 100-sale milestone is a reminder that hard work, creativity, and persistence truly pay off.
If you’re an artist just getting started on Redbubble: keep going! Focus on creating work you’re proud of, learn as you go, and celebrate each milestone. Every sale means your art is making someone’s world a little brighter.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to the next 100 sales — and many more to come!
